"Fairy-tales do not teach children that dragons exist; children know dragons exist. Fairy tales show children that dragons can be vanquished."Fairy tales, fables, legends, stories - whatever you want to call them, everyone knows at least one. They usually ended with a moral or lesson.
In olden days, Fairy Tales were much darker and more mysterious. Many stories have changed over the years, but one magical book lays untouched by time, remaining as it ever was. "If you see the magic in a fairy tale, you can face the future." The book reveals a world where "happily ever after" doesn't always come true, princesses are not always beautiful, and even the most foul of villains have their justified reasons. "If you want your children to be smart, read them fairy-tales. If you want them to be more smart, read them more fairy tales."Now, in modern day New York City, legends, tales and fables live and work and try to make a living as best they can. The more popular tales are usually more powerful, more wealthy - while the ones lost to memory or forgotten in a dusty old tome in the Old Country are less powerful. If forgotten entirely, fables become simply human.
A fate worse than death, to many - living in such a world, where their very existence is a twisted thing.
